Charges laid after baby left in hot car
A person has been charged after an eight-month-old baby girl was left in a hot car Thursday night.
Police were called after the baby was seen in a parked car near 55 Street and 167 Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, hours after Environment Canada issued numerous heat warnings across Alberta. In Edmonton, the temperature hovered around 24 C at the time of the call.
A police spokesperson on Friday morning said a person has been charged with causing a child to be in need of intervention.
