Changes coming to Alberta consumer protection laws

Service Alberta Minister Stephanie McLean will propose changes to Alberta’s consumer protection laws Wednesday.
McLean asked Albertans this summer what changes they wanted to see around consumer protections.
At the time, she said businesses also deserve to be protected against unfair practices.
Bill 31, A Better Deal for Consumers and Businesses, will be introduced in the house around 3 p.m.
