Campgrounds, lake evacuated, vehicle collision blamed on weather near Bashaw

Severe weather cut short camping and lake activities for people hoping to enjoy long weekend activities near Bashaw and Stettler as winds blew in causing “extensive damage.”
The summer villages of Rochon Sands, White Sands, campgrounds near Buffalo Lake were hit by “extremely high winds” which is also being blamed for a crash near Bashaw, according to an RCMP news release.
