Body found in rural Strathcona County identified, ruled homicide

The RCMP major crimes division say a man found dead at a rural property in Strathcona County Thursday was a victim of homicide.
Following an autopsy by the chief medical officer’s office in Edmonton Friday, police identified the dead man as 25-year-old Gursumeet Singh Brar of Sherwood Park.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the RCMP forensic identification section and Strathcona County general investigations section, said RCMP Cpl. Chris Warren.
