AUPE endorses selling marijuana in publicly operated dispensaries

Attendees at the 41st annual Alberta Union of Provincial Employees convention have endorsed selling marijuana in publicly operated dispensaries.
The vote happened Saturday morning at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton as part of the AUPE’s three-day conference.
Members were asked to vote on the resolution that “AUPE adopt the position that all cannabis retail outlets be publicly owners and operated by the Government of Alberta or one of its regulated agencies.”
