Alberta winds knock down trees, fell power poles, derail train cars

Trees were felled and a number of Epcor customers were without power after an “intense” low-pressure system struck Edmonton and other parts of the province Tuesday evening.
The storm brought wind gusts over 100 km/h in much of the province, knocked out the water supply in an eastern Alberta village and derailed trains near Red Deer and Wainwright.
