Alberta to spend $1.2 billion on affordable housing

Alberta will spend $1.2 billion over the next five years as it expands its portfolio of affordable housing by building another 4,000 units.
The investment is part of Alberta’s provincial housing strategy, unveiled Monday in Edmonton.
It’s the first time the province has had a long-term plan, joining the rest of Canada and leaving Prince Edward Island as the only province without an affordable housing plan.
