Alberta sheriff injured in firing range accident in northeast Edmonton

An Alberta sheriff has been injured after a shooting accident at a northeast Edmonton firing range Sunday morning.
Northeast division Staff Sgt. Paul Czerwonka said the female officer suffered a lower body injury after an “accidental discharge” during training at the William Nixon Training Centre.
Police responded to a report of a training accident at around 11:30 a.m.
