Alberta Hate Crimes Committee aims to clear up confusion between hate incidents and hate crimes

When a man tied a rope into a noose, dangled it from his hand and told two Muslim women, “This is for you” before singing O Canada at the University LRT station in November, city police easily identified the event as a hate incident.
