Alberta artificial intelligence research gets $1.6 million boost
Alberta’s blossoming artificial intelligence scene has been given another financial boost with a new $1.6 million agreement between Servus Credit Union and the University of Alberta.
The five-year funding deal will support research projects in data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing and related areas, the university said Monday.
The money will also help fund joint research projects and the creation of a new industrial research chair.
