Flushing program underway in lower Sparwood

District of Sparwood utility operators are currently performing annual uni-directional flushing and are currently moving through areas in lower Sparwood.
A Uni-Directional Flushing Program is a method of cleaning the inside of water mains within the distribution system.
The process creates a high velocity of water flow in a single direction by closing valves to isolate sections of water main and opening hydrants. The higher flow allows the water to better scour the inner wall to reduce the build
