Wind storm wrecks havoc on the Sault
A windstorm that blew through Sault Ste. Marie Wednesday night has left downed trees and power lines across the city.
Environment Canada says the windstorm warning has officially ended. Wind was blowing up to 100 km/h but gusts subsided to about 71 km/hour by 8 a.m.
Both PUC and public works and transportation crews are working across the city to remove tree limbs on power lines and restore power.
