‘Welcome to Town’ kits useful to newcomers

The city’s Immigration Partnership and FutureSSM have created “Welcome to Town” kits to help newcomers discover Sault Ste. Marie.
Kits, about the size of a grocery bag, will contain information about the city, a tourist guidebook, city map, lapel pin and branded city t-shirt among other start-up items intended to help newcomers take action to meet new people and learn about local businesses, heritage, and cultural, entertainment and tourist highlights, says a media release.
