Wawa legion gets lift with $100,000 donation

WAWA — An anonymous donation of $100,000 has ensured that Wawa’s legion will get a lift.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 429 had been raising money for an elevator with the fundraising campaign Lift for the Legion. The goal was to raise $100,000 by the end of March.
“We’re overjoyed,” said First Vice President Eric Matrikas in a telephone interview with the Sault Star.
