Theft charge laid

City police have charged a 23-year-old woman for shoplifting.
Police say the woman was seen placing items in a bag at a business in the 200 block of Bay Street. She was detained by store security and held for police.
It’s alleged she stole about $110 of merchandise.
A blue powder, believed to be fentanyl, was also found on her.
Jodie Neveau, 23, of Hynes Street has been charged with theft under $5,000 possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and breach of probation.
