Storm expected to subside later today

A winter storm virtually shut down Sault Ste. Marie Monday.
Numerous closures were reported across the city, including to banks, retailers, programming and The Sault Star.
Algoma University, Sault College and Lake Superior State University also cancelled classes for the day and evening and closed campuses.
All area school boards also cancelled buses.The City of Sault Ste. Marie has requested all residents to stay off the roads as conditions are not safe to travel.
