Special online event planned for seniors

An online event that includes a welcome by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been set up for Canada’s seniors on National Seniors Day, Thursday, Oct. 1.
Canadian Association of Retired Persons will hold what it calls in a media release, the largest ever virtual meeting of seniors. The event is in honour of the elderly and will include a minute of silence to remember those who have died due to COVID-19 in long-term care homes across Canada.
