So, what becomes of the wolves?

The wolves on Michipicoten Island must be sensing the change.
They must be lifting their noses to the air, wondering where that musky scent of caribou has gone. They must be turning their ears to the farthest shore, the mainland, where most of their DNA belongs. But, for now, Michipicoten Island, in all its raw beauty, is their home.
