Sheehan's precarious work private member's bill passes first reading

Sault MP Terry Sheehan has introduced a private member’s bill designed to define precarious work and identify the role it plays in the Canadian economy.
Sheehan’s motion was debated during its First Reading in the House of Commons late Thursday.
He’s asking that a Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities be charged with leading a study of precarious employment in Canada.
