Second units policies to be discussed at ShapetheSault open house

A public information session will be held next week for city planners to discuss proposed changes regarding second units that will be incorporated in the ShapetheSault plan.
The proposed changes to the Official Plan and Zoning bylaw are expected to be introduced to city council in April.
“The province requires municipalities to permit Second Units in single detached, semi=detached and townhouse dwellings, in both urban and rural areas,” said city planning director Don McConnell.
