Sault woman's no-shows land her in jail

A woman got jail time for not seeing her probation officer or going to John Howard Society. Megan Laird, 31, pleaded guilty to three offences last Friday, including failing to attend court in June, not reporting to her probation officer between last November and June and not going to John Howard Society in June 2025. Ontario Court Justice Heather Mendes noted Laird has “a very lengthy record” that is “replete with related offences.” Laird was sentenced to 15 days in jail
