Sault low voter turnout common across Ontario

Sault Ste. Marie’s low municipal voter turnout was not an anomaly.
It appears to the norm according to statistics released by the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.
AMO says voter turnout across Ontario hovered at about the 37.5 per cent mark. Sault Ste. Marie voter turnout was about 40 per cent mark.
In recent elections, statistics show that voter turnout has alternated between 40-45 per cent.
