S. Ontario hunter failed to invalidate antlerless deer tag, court hears
A southern Ontario resident has been fined $1,500 for a deer hunting violation on Manitoulin Island. Angelo Micone, of Beeton, Ont., pleaded guilty to failing to immediately invalidate his antlerless deer tag. He was fined $1,500. The Ontario Court of Justice heard that on Nov. 20, 2025, conservation officers were patrolling the Township of Burpee and Mills on Manitoulin Island when they encountered Micone at his group’s hunt camp.
