Robbery charge laid

Officers with the break and enter unit have charged a 43-year-old man in connection with a robbery last month.
Police say John Jamieson, of no fixed address, faces a charge of robbery. He was to appear in bail court.
It’s alleged that a man approached an elderly women walking in the 200 block of McNabb Street from behind and grabbed her purse. The woman was thrown against a vehicle and the accused fled the scene with her purse which contained various items including cash.
