Jodie McNabb, 5, Mara DeFazio, 9, and Andrew DeFazio, 7, are dwarfed by huge blocks of ice after dynamite charges were set off in 1983 in an attempt to clear 20 to 25 feet of heavy ice that blocked the flow of the Root River, causing it to spill its banks. Two homes were flooded.
