Province plans to amalgamate ambulance services, effects on municipalities unknown

Officials in Sault Ste. Marie were shocked to receive notice late Monday that the Ontario government plans to amalgamate 59 local ambulance services into 10.
It’s the same feeling that has been expressed from communities across the province that learned late Monday of the Progressive Conservative plan to consolidate local paramedic services across Ontario.
