Prohibited driver from Sault stopped in Chapleau

A Sault Ste. Marie man who wasn’t supposed to be behind the wheel was allegedly driving a vehicle with an open container of alcohol in Chapleau. He was stopped on Martel Road on Sept. 2, Ontario Provincial Police say.Randy Running, 51, was charged with operation while prohibited, drive motor vehicle, not equipped with ignition interlock device and driving motor vehicle with open container of alcohol. His court date is Nov. 2 in Chapleau.
