Preliminary 2019 budget to be presented to city council

A preliminary city budget for 2019 indicates a municipal levy increase of 3.57 per cent to allow for the current maintenance of existing levels of service, negotiated salary increases including costs deemed beyond the city’s control.
The first draft of the 186-page document includes outside agency grants reflected at approved 2018 levels.  Any additional funding requests will be presented and considered by council.
