Powder found at school identified

Blue powder found at an east-end elementary school in late January was oxycodone, Sault Ste. Marie Police Service says.A parent found a small amount of what was originally thought to be fentanyl in a baggie in the parking lot of Parkland Public School on Amber Street on Jan. 22.The powder was sent to Health Canada for testing.Less than half a gram of oxycodone was in the baggie.Parkland has about 175 students and 20 staff.
