Possible gov’t cuts trouble midwives

The College of Midwives of Ontario released a statement Dec. 12 saying the College had been advised by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care on Nov. 8 the College would no longer receive operational grants from the provincial government.
Further, that decision was to be made retroactive to April 1, 2018.
The province has since walked back on that: in a second statement released Dec. 21, the College said the ministry had confirmed the final decision on the college’s funding had not yet
