Police, school on alert after online threat made by student

An online threat made by a student regarding the safety of St. Mary’s College is being taken seriously by police and school board officials.
Police were on scene at the school early Tuesday morning.
An email letter by school principal Colleen Hannah was also sent off to parents explaining how the situation is being handled.
School officials learned of the threats at about 8 p.m. Monday night and police were immediately contacted.
