Pepper spray released at police 'multiple times'

One person was charged Monday with assaulting peace officers with a weapon – along with several other charges – after officers saw and confronted the accused, who had an outstanding warrant for their arrest, walking in the 700 block of Wellington Street East.When officers advised the accused of the warrant, the accused continued walking, removed a canister of pepper spray from their pocket, and sprayed it in the officers’ direction “multiple times,” police report.
