Paper ballots return to Nickel City

SUDBURY – Paper ballots are coming back for the next municipal election.
City council has voted in favour of returning to a hybrid system in 2022 that will include traditional paper ballots, as well as electronic voting platforms.
“There were some complaints about the cost of a mixed paper and electronic option, but in my opinion there is no way we can afford to have another election system that’s not trusted, reliable or beyond failure,” Mayor Brian Bigger said Tuesday.
