Municipalities continue to wait for marijuana store regulations

Sault Ste. Marie’s new city council will face a task in January of deciding whether to opt out from having marijuana stores in the city.
Municipalities must inform the province by Jan. 22 whether it wants to allow private retail pot shops to set up in their city.
Towns and cities that say nay to the stores will have the opportunity to reverse their decision sometime in the future.  But those who accept the new stores will not have the option to opt out in the future.
