Mayor calls it 'a good day' but says the Sault cannot find itself in same position again
The completion of the final sales transaction for Algoma should be hailed as a good day for Sault Ste. Marie, says Christian Provenzano.
The city’s mayor said the past three years have been challenging for Algoma and the community and a lot of time and effort have gone into working to ensure that the steel mill and the City of Sault Ste. Marie have a bright future.
City council wanted to make sure the City of Sault Ste. Marie received as much of its arrears property tax money as possible.
