LSSU burns snowman

Lake Superior State University sets fire to a snowman to welcome spring.The 49th annual snowman burning runs March 20 at noon on the south side of the Walker Cisler Center on the campus in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.Tom O’Hare, chief meteorologist at 9&10 News, will set the snowman on fire.“After a cold winter, I can’t wait to light the snowman and bring some warmth,” said O’Hare.A spring-themed haiku contest is also part of the event.
