'Looked like a bomb went off' at Gore Street explosion

A late-morning explosion Thursday at a downtown laundromat caused extensive damage to the building and spewed shards of glass on to the roadway. Firefighters went to Sunshine Laundromat & Internet Cafe, at 164 Gore St., at about 11:45 a.m. Eric, who declined to give his last name, was standing on the southeast corner of Albert Street East and Gore Street when he felt a shock wave from the building.“ It was a deep thump and then a big whoof,” he told The Sault Star. “You co
