Just add water

PRINCE TOWNSHIP — Ken Lamming and Bruce Gregoire don’t need Fitbits activity trackers to tell them they take lots of steps in a day.
At 8:30 a.m. each morning, the mayor and his long-time neighbour grab shovels and head to the rink in Prince Township’s events pavilion, where they scrape snow from the ice and toss it over the boards.
Next, they flood the ice, not stopping until the entire surface is smooth and glossy.
“It’s like painting a door,” Gregoire said.
