Highway 17 open after washout

Traffic is moving again on Highway 17 south of Wawa following a road closure for most of the day Sunday. Heavy rains washed out part of the roadway near Alona Bay on Sunday. The Highway was closed until early this morning. Reports now say Highway 17 is open to alternating traffic.
