Grassroots anti-data centre movement takes shape in Sault Ste. Marie

A grassroots anti-data centre movement has been launched in Sault Ste. Marie. The group includes about 12 individuals, most of whom attended the Aug. 10 council meeting in the hopes that city council would pass a motion that would put a moratorium on large-scale data centres while it developed a framework to deal with future requests.“It all started with a group who went to the council meeting and we started a conversation on Facebook because we had concerns,” said Christine Starzom
