Glasses get role in choral show
Glasses filled with water get a role to play in Chamber Singers of Algoma’s weekend concert.Show opener STARS by Latvian composer Eriks Esenvalds features choir members holding 10 glasses filled with water to varying pitches.“The effect is enchanting,” said music director Patty Gartshore in an e-mail to The Sault Star. “This is the only piece I’ve come across using glasses.”Music for voices and strings gets special play in the Sunday show at Precious Blood Cat
