Gas fitting breaks, Boundary Road home burns

A fire started at an east-end home late Monday when a gas line fitting broke.Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services was called to a home in the 500 block of Boundary Road shortly after 11 p.m.The fire caused damage to the home’s exterior and attic.Damage estimate was not available.An investigation continues to determine whey the fitting broke and fire began. Snow load may have been a factor, public education officer Aaron Gravelle told The Sault Star.
