First take a keeper for Lightfoot's Fitzgerald song

Gordon Lightfoot’s iconic song about a shipwreck on Lake Superior was a one-take wonder that was recorded at the last minute 50 years ago. The folk singer had wrapped up recording the songs that would appear on Summertime Dream at Eastern Sound Studios in Toronto. Engineer Ken Friesen suggested Lightfoot get at lest some his song based on the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald in November 1975 down on tape.
