Fire burns at Lafarge Canada

Firefighters respond to a conveyor belt blaze at Lafarge Canada’s ready-mix plant on Industrial Park A on Thursday morning. No one was hurt, said Lafarge director of communications Jennifer Lewis in an e-mail. Cause of the fire, reported at about 10:15 a.m., is under investigation, said public education officer Aaron Gravelle of Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services. The fire is not considered suspicious.
