Environment Canada says winter is here to stay

Winter has arrived in Sault Ste. Marie.
Residents awoke to a fresh blanket of fluffy white snow Tuesday morning and the end is not in sight, said Environment Canada meteorologist Gerald Cheng.
“The temperature in your area is going to stay quite cold so there will be no melting of sorts,” Cheng said from his Toronto office.
