Cyclist pronounced dead at accident scene

A 31-year-old woman from South Africa is dead following a motor vehicle collision involving a car and a bicycle.
OPP say the accident occurred on Highway 17, west of Dayton Road, in Huron Shores at about 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the female cyclist was westbound on Highway 17 when she was struck from the rear by a westbound car.
Deidra Barch, 31, from South Africa, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A post mortem is to be conducted.
The investigation is ongoing. The highway has reopened.
