Council set to raise parking violation fines
Parking fines in Sault Ste. Marie are going up.
City council will be asked Monday to approve a new parking fine structure for the city that puts its fines in line with other municipalities of similar size.
Currently a $10 fine is set for parking at an expired metre and that could increase to $25. A discount of $5 would be realized if the fine payment is made within seven days.
