City's construction employer designation could be lifted shortly

The construction employer designation that has been tagged to the City of Sault Ste. Marie for decades may be lifted by the end of the week if provincial legislation passes.
Bill 66 will be headed to its third reading later this week as part of the Tory government’s Restoring Ontario’s Competitiveness Act.
The bill is designed to reduce red tape and regulations so businesses can grow, create and protect jobs.
