City nets money to take action on climate change
Sault Ste. Marie has received $125,000 in funding from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Climate Innovation Program.
The money is to address staffing gaps and increase capacity to adapt to the effects of climate change or reduce greenhouse emissions.
The City of Sault Ste. Marie will begin a search to fill the full-time position shortly.
The city is one of 59 communities across the country to receive funding.
