City moves to pilot 'on demand' Sunday evening transit service

The city is looking at ways to improve Sunday evening bus service.
Council has given the nod to staff to launch a request for proposal that could lead to an on demand transit service pilot project.
The system has been tested in other communities and has improved transit service, increased ridership in traditionally lower usage times and resulted in a more economical service, said Brent Lamming, director of community services.
